Chapter 46[/u][/b]
Two Month Fast Forward: Day Before First Day of College [/b]
The past two months have been pretty tame. Corpseweb hadn’t been around in a good while. You last saw him a week after Gerard’s hospital trip. You were uneasy about going to college in New York, knowing that Jake and Alex would be so close. Gerard could even tell you were scared to go back, it scared him too, but he wanted you to pursue your dreams and he wasn’t about to let you dump them down the drain because of those to jerks.
You were packing all your belongings into boxes, ready to be taken to your apartment out in New York. Gerard had finished his packing the day before, so he helped you pack. You were folding up some shirts, and putting them into a box when you heard Gerard start giggling. You turned around and found him in your underwear drawer. ‘What is with you and your obsession with my underwear?’ He still giggled, ;I donno.’ You rolled your eyes and pulled the underwear off his head and closed the drawer. ‘no more for you,’ you said, pointing your finger at him. He pouted like a little boy. Mikey walked in and looked at the two of you, confused. Gerard burst into a giggle fit again, you shook your head and laughed. ‘So yeah, anyways, mom has lunch ready if the two of you want to take a break and eat,’ Mikey announced. Gerard clamed his giggle fit and cleared his throat. ‘Uh yeah, we’ll be right down,’ you told him. ‘Alright,’ he said and left. You closed up the box you packed up and put it with the rest of the boxes. ‘You know, they’re gonna figure it out,’ you said. ‘Maybe not,’ Gerard contradicted. You sighed, ‘which ever the case, they really can’t do a whole lot about it. I mean it’s not like they can make us move back. Your grandparents are going to be living here.’ ‘They could make us move into the basement spare bedroom, if they really wanted to,’ Gerard said. ‘That’d be pointless, we’d still be sharing the same space.’ ‘Yeah, you know if we keep talking about it, they will figure it out or hear it,’ Gerard pointed out. ‘I feel so guilty about hiding this from them,’ you said. ‘We could be hiding something worse,’ he said. ‘Like what?’ Realizing it was dumb to even such a question. ‘I donno, anything. Don’t worry about it sugar, we’re just going to be living together, it’s not like we plan on running off and getting married and having a baby.’ ‘Good point,’ your stomach growled, ‘lunch!’
You ran downstairs to the kitchen. Mikey was already eating, ‘gee thanks for waiting,’ you laughed. ‘You two are too slow,’ he said with his mouth full. ‘Mikey! Don’t talk with your mouth full,’ Mrs. Way snapped at him. He shrugged and kept eating. Gerard came down shortly after you. ‘Mikey you pig! Did you eat everything already,’ Gerard snapped. Mikey glared at him. ‘Don’t worry he didn’t eat everything,’ Mrs. Way said. ‘I think that’s a first,’ Gerard said. ‘Oh shut up Gerard. I’m skinnier than you,’ Mikey retaliated. Gerard stayed silent and sat down at the table. The rest of lunch was fairly quiet, with a few questions from Mrs. Way and random smart aleck comments from Mikey. When she mentioned living arrangements, you and Gerard kept looking back and forth at each other. Thankfully Mrs. Way didn’t catch on to your quick responses or fake answers. You and Gerard couldn’t wait for lunch to be done with already!
Later that afternoon, everything was packed up into the cars and ready for the morning. Everyone met up at Ivy’s house for the afternoon, everyone with excitement burning inside of them. Frankie made sure the music was pumped up to the maximum. Food was everywhere from the food fight earlier. Mrs. Hollow already declared that all of you had to clean up whatever mess you storm up together. Once the house was squeaky clean on the inside, you all resided to the back yard patio. Bert was running around like a madman still, all the sugar flowing in his veins. He eventually calmed down and collapsed next to Molly on the bench. Branden, Jepha, Quinn, Ray, Courtney, Vanessa, Ivy, and Frankie ventured their way to the park down the street to play tag. Gerard, Bert, Mikey, Molly, and yourself hung back and talked for a while. ‘I have to go to Utah,’ Bert said out of nowhere. ‘Uh why,’ Molly asked confused. ‘Parents want me to move and they majority of my relatives are out there,’ he explained, ‘it was where I was born and grew up until I came here in 5th grade.’ ‘For how long,’ Gerard asked. ‘Not sure. I’ve been having a hard time to get them to let me stay here, you know with you guys, through college and stuff, but they keep insisting that I can go to college out there,’ he answered. ‘When are you leaving,’ you asked. ‘Couple weeks, maybe three,’ he shrugged. ‘When were you planning on telling me this,’ Molly said with a twinge of annoyance in her voice. Bert’s eyes shifted around, avoiding hers. ‘Bert,’ she glared at him. ‘I love you,’ he said innocently. Molly pulled Bert away from the three of you so they could to talk in private. ‘So, five bucks says she slaughters him,’ Mikey said. ‘He said he was trying to get his parents to let him stay,’ you said. ‘Yeah man, somehow I don’t think he’ll be leaving Molly’s side anytime soon. They guy is glued to her hip, he’d marry her now if he was able to,’ Gerard said. ‘If he doesn’t come back, you each owe my five,’ Mikey said. ‘And if he does, you owe each of us five,’ you said. ‘Fine,’ Mikey said and walked off towards the park. All that was left was you and Gerard. Well, Molly and Bert were around somewhere.
‘So what shall we do,’ Gerard said, looking around observantly. ‘Hmm, that’s a very good question,’ you said. ‘Wan go join everyone at the park,’ he suggested. ‘Yeah, sure.’ You headed towards the park and met up with everyone, who were gathered around in a circle. ‘Move over,’ Gerard said as you both walked over. ‘What are we playing,’ you asked as you sat down. ‘Truth or dare,’ Frankie answered evilly.
‘Ohhh Mikey,’ Frankie squealed. ‘Oh shit,’ Mikey muttered. Frankie had a devilish grin across his face, ‘dare or double dare?’ ‘What?! I don’t get a truth option,’ Mikey said annoyed. ‘Nope! Now pick!’ ‘Fine, just dare then,’ he muttered. ‘HAH! Kiss Ray,’ he yelled. Everyone burst out laughing all but Ray and Mikey. ‘Now go on you two, kissy kissy,’ Frankie mocked. Mikey and Ray looked at each other, then kissed for a second and started spitting and wiping their mouths. ‘Damn Mikey, what did you eat,’ Ray yelled. ‘What are you talking about? You’re the one with the bad breath,’ Mikey retaliated. The game continued until it started to get slightly dark out, then you all headed home for the evening.
‘Gerard! Phone,’ his mom yelled up the stairs. He ran down the stairs and snatched it form her, ‘hello? Oh hey Bert, what’s up? Yeah sure, in an hour, um yeah I think that should be enough time to get there and back. Oh don’t worry, it isn’t a problem, I think she’s going to bed anyways. I’ll see you in a few minutes man. ’ Gerard came back upstairs, you were leaning on the door frame to your room. ‘W0hat’d Berty want?’ ‘Oh nothing, just wanted to confess his undying love for me again,’ Gerard answered. ‘No now seriously, what’d he want,’ you asked, half laughing. ‘Um, he just asked me to come over for a little bit, that’s all, he wanted my opinion on something at the mall too,’ he told you. ‘Why?’ ‘I’m not allowed to say,’ he stuck his tongue out at you. ‘Does it have to do with Molly,’ you guessed. His eyes shifted, ‘no why?’ ‘One, Bert might be leaving for Utah in a couple of weeks, leaving Molly here. Two, we are leaving for college tomorrow and Molly is leaving too. Three, you fucking suck at lying Gerard.’ ‘Oh right. Fine! I’ll tell you, but you can’t say anything because Bert would kill me if you knew,’ he said.

Chapter 47 [/u][/b]
Next Morning[/b]
‘Come on, lets get this last thing in the car, I want to go,’ Gerard whined. ‘Alright, here take it,’ you pushed the box towards him. ‘Molly or Bert here yet,’ he asked. You looked out the window, ‘yeah Mo is here. Didn’t Bert say he’d-’ The phone rang. Gerard picked it up. ‘Hey Bert. Good because she just got here. Alright see you in two minutes then.’ ‘He’s right around the corner,’ Gerard said as he threw the phone onto the bed. You ran downstairs and greeted Molly, ‘hey babe,’ you said and hugged her. ‘Hey,’ she said with a half smile. ‘Aw cheer up, today is supposed to be a happy day!’ ‘Right,’ she sighed. You two went out inside and Gerard quickly ran outside, threw the last box in the car and stayed out there. ‘Does it really take him that long to put something in a car,’ Molly asked. ‘Who knows,’ you laughed. You two settled in the kitchen and talked for a little bit. ‘Oooo Molly,’ Gerard called. She raised and eyebrow, ‘yes?’ ‘come here,’ he yelled. ‘Why?’ ‘Just come here~’ You both got up and walked over to Gerard, who was standing in front of the front door. ‘What is it,’ Molly asked. Gerard stepped out of the way, ‘see for yourself.’ She opened the door and saw…
‘BERT,’ Molly squealed. Bert stood in the doorway with a large bouquet of red roses and a small black box. ‘These are for you,’ he handed her the roses. ‘Aww Bert,’ she smiled and kissed him full on the lips. You and Gerard stood back and let them have their moment. Bert pulled away and smiled, ‘you still have this,’ he opened the box. It was a ring, with a ruby heart but stone in the center, with their names engraved on each side of the ring band. ‘Bert, I love it,’ she said with the largest smile you had ever seen on her face before. ‘I have one last surprise though,’ he said. She raised and eyebrow and smiled, ‘what is that?’ ‘I’m not moving. Well my parents are but I’m not. They agreed that it would be better for me to stay here and get an education and shit rather than going out to Orem, Utah, besides they already put a non refundable down payment for my tuition,’ he laughed. ‘Really? Oh that’s so wonderful Bert,’ she hugged him tight and had tears of happiness rolling down her cheeks.
When Gerard saw the ring again, it reminded him of what he had stored away in his room, he almost forgot to pack it away. ‘So Bert, you all packed up and ready to leave today,’ you asked. ‘You better fucking believe it!’ You all laughed. After a little while of celebrating you all quickly hurried your way out of New Jersey and into New York. The one place you used to call home, the one place dreaded, but the one place you had the fondest memories, which all had a dark ending to.
When you arrived at your new apartment, Corpseweb was already there waiting for you, the sun was just about ready to set so it didn’t shock you to see him up already. ‘I thought it would be a kind gesture to welcome you to your new home,’ he greeted when you stepped into the apartment. He nodded at Gerard, ‘wise choice to live together.’ Gerard gave you a slight nudge, ‘I told you it was a good idea.’ You rolled your eyes and smiled. ‘Well, now that you are settled here, I guess I shall take my leave, I am of no use to you at the moment. I see you are here and alive, that’s what matters to me,’ he said and disappeared into thin air. ‘Well, that’s a nice greeting,’ Gerard laughed. For the next hour you and Gerard carried boxes to the apartment which was on the third level. It seemed weird at first, knowing that this was the space you will be living in for the next 4 years of your life, and with Gerard. Courtney and Ivy were above you, Frankie and Ray were across from you, and Bert and Molly were under you, Branden, Jepha and Quinn across from Bert and Molly, everyone crammed into one apartment building. Wonderful. The only ones missing were Mikey and Vanessa, but they agreed to visit as often as possible as you agreed to visit them as often as possible too. Only seemed fair.
Classes start next week, which gave you plenty of time to settle in and get comfortable. You were already familiar with the area somewhat because you had visited the college not too far from this one, it was one of Jeff’s choices. He was seriously considering it but then the college in Jersey offered him a full scholarship for football and he couldn’t pass up the opportunity. You had pictures of your family already lined up on the dresser in your new bedroom. The walls were of an ugly yellow, which you hoped to one day paint over, until then, they were going to get covered up with yours and Gerard’s posters. Yes, you and Gerard were sharing a room. It was cheaper that way to have just one bedroom rather than two. Neither of you minded all that much, but he had already been warned that he can’t try any funny business in the middle of the night. You hadn’t exactly told him yet, that you were waiting until marriage to do anything of that sort, intimacy wise. Hopefully, he’ll understand, you would hate to lose him over something as dumb as that. The rest of the night you and Gerard unpacked all your clothes and belongings, situating them how you liked. Everything actually managed to flow quiet nicely, it helped that you and Gerard liked the same colors, red and black, and it was nicely distributed around the apartment. Once everything was how you wanted it, you two settled on the couch. ‘This is it,’ you said, ‘we’re finally here. It feels so surreal, doesn‘t it?’ You cuddled up on Gerard’s lap on the couch and snuggled into the crook of his neck. ‘Yeah I know, but come on, we’re out of fucking Jersey! I never thought I’d see the day when this would come!’ You both laughed, ‘yeah guess so.’ You yawned, ‘wanna go to bed?’ Gerard yawned in agreement. You both changed into your p.j.’s and crawled into bed. Gerard’s arms around your waist as you snuggled into his bare chest. ‘G’night sugar,’ he whispered and kissed you on top of the head. ‘G’night Gerard,’ you whispered and fell asleep, for the first time in a place you felt at home.

Chapter 48[/u][/b]
First Day of Class [/b]
‘Gerard, I don’t want to go,’ you moaned. ‘Oh come on. It won’t be that bad, plus we’ve got most of our classes together, it won’t be so bad,’ he tried to assure you and get you out of bed. You moaned again, ‘what time is it,’ you asked, rolling over and covering your head with your pillow. ‘We’ve got 2 hours,’ you heard him say. He lifted up the pillow off your head, ‘get up.’ ‘No,’ you pouted. ‘I’ll make you get up, if that’s what you really want,’ he warned. ‘I’m not moving,’ you said stubbornly. He sighed, ‘you have left me no choice then.’ You squirmed when you felt tickling fingers attaching you. ‘Stop…I can’t…breathe,’ you said between laughs. ‘Get up then,’ he laughed. ‘Fine, happy? I’m up see,’ you said, standing up on the side of the bed and looked at him, he was still laying there. ‘Oh no, I’m out so you have to get out too.’ Gerard quickly buried himself under the covers, ‘you gotta find me to get me out.’ You rolled your eyes and went to make breakfast for the two of you.
‘I thought you were going to get me,’ Gerard pouted when he walked into the small kitchen. ‘Thought about it. But realized that we’d both end up in bed,’ you smirked. ‘I have no problem with that,’ Gerard smirked back and kissed you on the cheek. ‘You’re such a hypocrite! First, you’re yelling at me to get out of bed, now you rather have me back in bed, pick one!’ He shrugged, ‘you know you love me anyways.’ ‘Or do I,’ you gave an evil smirk. ‘Uh,’ he huffed and with a hurt look on his face. ‘I’m kidding Gerbear, you know I love you,’ you kissed him on the cheek. ‘Gerbear?’ You smiled, ‘yeah.’ ‘Is that like my new nick name by chance?’ ‘Mmm, do you like it??’ ‘I don’t mind, whatever you want to call me is fine by me, well not anything but yeah you know what I mean,’ he laughed. ‘Alright,’ you laughed too. You both had breakfast and got ready for class. ‘I call shower first,’ you yelled and ran for the bathroom. ‘No fair! I smell more than you,’ Gerard said through the door. You started the shower and got in. After 15 minutes you hear Gerard come in. You peeked out from behind the shower curtain, ;what are you doing,’ you eyed him. ‘Oh nothing, just brushing my teeth and,’ he flushed the toilet. You jumped when you felt the water temperature drop instantly. ‘Gerard,’ you yelled. He burst out laughing, ‘my turn!’ You grumble and he throws you a towel, you wrap it around you and step out. You flipped your hair into his face, soaking wet. ‘Thanks,’ he said. You smiled and finished getting ready and Gerard was done shortly after.
You met up with everyone outside of the apartment building. ‘Hey guys,’ you greeted. You got a response back of mostly tired grumbles and moans. ‘What’d you guys party all night,’ Gerard laughed. All but Molly and Bert, nodded and moaned in tiredness. ‘Looks like we were the only four smart people,’ Bert joked. ‘Yeah for once Bert you’re in the smart group,’ Quinn joked. ‘Shut up Quinny. I don’t talk about your problem,’ Bert then coughed, ‘Glow Worm dolly!’ Quinn turned bright red and Jepha burst out laughing. You swear you thought he was gonna piss his pants. Quinn kicked him in the side, Jepha was on the ground laughing so hard. ‘Come on, we’re gonna be fucking late,’ Quinn snapped.
Here’s the major’s everyone is going for: Quinn: Music Teaching major Bert: General music major Molly: Acting major Branden: Percussion Performance major Jepha & Ivy: Music Recording major Frankie & Ray: Guitar performance majors Gerard: (double major) Painting & Animated Drawing major Courtney: Photography major You: Painting major Matt and Cori stayed in New Jersey and went to a local college and went for more traditional majors, Cori for teaching and Matt had a music major.
You and Gerard sat in Painting 101 and listened to the teacher introduce herself, Miss. Jacobs. You didn’t particularly care for her and she looked like she was only a couple years older than yourself. You noticed she kept look at Gerard and then glaring at you, like she knew you two were together. ‘I don’t like her,’ you whispered to Gerard. ‘Who? Miss. Jacobs?’ ‘Yeah. I just don’t like her,’ you told him. She assigned the first painting, which was a landscape scene. You started yours with a lake and night sky, adding in the mountains and trees afterwards. Gerard’s was a tree, (I’ll show a picture of it later, probably in the results.) that was mainly black and blue. Miss. Jacobs walked around, commenting on everyone’s as she walked by. She looked at yours and kept walking. You heard her shower Gerard’s with compliments, it sickened you and you could tell Gerard was getting a little creped out by it. After class you had a three hour break until your next class.
‘Okay, I agree, she is kinda creepy,’ Gerard said after class. ‘You realize she was hitting on you, right?’ ‘Well, I didn’t catch it at first but when she wouldn’t shut the fuck up about the tree, she started to scare the shit outta me. I mean come on, it’s a fucking tree, nothing like yours,’ he said, looking at your painting. ‘Thanks, Miss. Jacobs didn’t think so,’ you said. ‘She’s a bitch Bree, we can try to switch out of her class, and get into another,’ Gerard suggested. ‘Sounds like a wonderful fucking plan to me, get away from that bitch. Watch if we stay in that class she’ll probably fail me and give you an A because she wants to fuck you,’ you pointed out. ‘What can I say, I’m just that sexy,’ Gerard joked. ‘Yeah you are, but she is not touching you,’ you said sternly. ‘My love is all for you sugar,’ he said and put his arm around you. You met up with everyone for lunch and talked about how your first classes went. For the majority they went rather well, minus yours of course. The rest of the day went smoothly and you liked the rest of your classes, Painting 101 was the only one you wanted to switch out of, which wasn’t a problem thankfully and you were given a new teacher that was at the same time as the other Painting 101 class, so you knew Miss. Jacobs couldn’t come in and bother your class, to secretively check out Gerard. Gerard got switched into the same class as you too, which you were very happy about.

Chapter 49[/u][/b]
The first month of school went by fairly smoothly. Homework piled up, but you figured that much. Every morning you had the same routine, annoy each other to get up, then have a clam breakfast, then race for who gets the bathroom first. Weekends had a similar routine but consisted of sleeping in until noon, or unless dares to call to wake you up. A few times you’ve been woken up by Frankie or Bert jumping on the bed, damn spare keys.
It’s now early October, feels like Halloween, and Frankie’s birthday are right around the corner. You all agreed to do a small party for Frankie and then go out clubbing afterwards for fun. Stories of last year come up from time to time, how you all had the school Halloween dance, which you were all in costume. Yours and Gerard’s vampire costumes. Sara and Jesse were coming too for the party. Which you were very happy about. They haven’t really gotten to meet the rest of the group so you figured Halloween would be a great time do to that.
‘Ray, get off of me,’ Courtney yelped. Ray decided to sit on her lap for the movie night you all agreed to have at your apartment. How you managed to get 13 people all crammed in front of one TV astounded you. But none the less it was a success. Each weekend you all gathered up and did something as a group, most of the week you were all too busy with classes and homework so there wasn’t time to have fun like you had hoped for. This week Frankie picked the movie, ‘Clerks.’ Granted you all had seen in a dozen times now, but it was still fun to watch each time. Ray moved off of Courtney’s lap and sat down in front of her on the floor. ‘Okay, can we start the movie now,’ Ivy said annoyed. ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, keep your pants on woman,’ Ray said. Frankie started to laugh evilly. Ivy smacked him to shut up, which he did, still holding back a few laughs, trying to calm down. ‘Alright darlings, popcorn is ready,’ you said, bringing out a few bowls filled with microwave popcorn. Bert was the first one to grab one and spill it, ‘aw fuck it, It’s still good!’ Molly rolled her eyes and laughed, ‘five second rule.’ Sure enough, that popcorn was picked up and in the bowl faster than you thought. Bert had started stuffing his face with the popcorn already, Molly hit him on the arm to share. He handed her the half empty bowl, ‘well at least you didn’t eat it ALL.’ Bert gave an innocent smile and kissed her on the cheek. You started the movie and watched it for the next hour.
Half way through, the phone rang. You got up and went into the bedroom to answer it. Gerard watched you get up, trying to decide if he should get up too with you. He waited a few minutes and made the decision to stay with everyone else. You walked into the bedroom and picked up the phone. ‘Hello?’ Silence. ‘Is anyone there,’ you asked. Silence. ‘Whatever kind of prank you’re trying to pull isn’t working, goodbye,’ you said into the phone. You threw the phone back down on the receiver and turned off the bedroom lights. The door closed quickly and you saw Corpseweb in front of you. ‘Sorry about the phone, that was me. I needed to get you alone Bree,’ he said quietly. ‘You scared me you know,’ you said, pretty pissed off. ‘My apologies, truly I am sorry dear. But the time is coming, very soon. So I beg of you to watch out and be ready for it, they are planning. I’ve seen it for myself, they know where you are and what they plan to do to you and if you play your cards right the way your life is supposed to be will happen. Trust me, all that you and your friends strive for can come true if you keep an open eye for what is soon to come,’ he said quietly. ‘When?’ ‘All Hollow’s Eve,’ he said with a hushed voice, it scared you. ‘That’s in 3 weeks,’ you said more to yourself than to him. ‘I know, that’s why I came to you now, to give you a heads up on this,’ he informed you. ‘Thank you,’ you said with a smile. ‘My pleasure, now go on, go back to your friends. If any ask who called, just say it was a wrong number. You may tell Gerard that I came if he asks, he has the right to know as well,’ he told you. You nodded, ‘okay.’ ‘Well, good evening Miss. Bree,’ he nodded and disappeared into the shadows. You walked back out to the group, the movie was coming close to the end. Gerard kept his gaze on you as you sat down next to him. ‘Who was it?’ ‘I’ll tell you later babe,’ you said with a nudge. He got the hint and you finished out the movie. The credits scrolled on the TV screen and everyone went back to their apartments.
The next 3 weeks flew by very quickly. You told Gerard about what Corpseweb said and Gerard hasn’t left your side longer than 5 minutes. Sometimes he got annoying but you knew it was for the best, for both of your sakes. ‘Gerard seriously, let me go, I have to go to the bathroom,’ you said, trying to get him to go do something else for a little bit. You were in the same apartment, but he kept following you around. ‘Go find something to do,’ you told him, ‘hey how bout the dishes.’ ‘I don’t like doing the dishes and that food processor scares the shit out of me,’ he said. ‘Sorry, but they have got to get done. As long as you don’t stick your fingers in there, you’ll be fine. Don’t pull a Mikey on me,’ you laughed. ‘Fine, I’ll suck it up like a big boy and do them, but you’re doing them next time,’ he said, pointing at you as he walked into the kitchen. ‘Fine,’ you said and walked into the bathroom and did your business. Tonight was the night before All Hollow’s Eve, the night before things were supposed to happen. The blood in your veins pumped harder and faster randomly, when you would think about it or when you would go out with your friends. Gerard’s hand usually tightly held to yours, usually squeezing the death out of each other. Sometimes you couldn’t feel your hand, he would squeeze that hard, and you were pretty sure you did the same to him at times too. You went back into the kitchen ,‘wow that was fast,’ you said, noticing the dishes were already done. ‘Well you took forever in there,’ he retorted. ‘Did not,’ you contradicted. ‘You know what today is right,’ he said quietly. ‘Yeah I know, but what ever happens, we’ll be ready for it. Corpseweb will be there too, so when things go too far he’ll step in, or when I ask him to step in, he will. He has two lives left to take, and I think I know which lives he’s going to take,’ you said and hugged him. ‘Jake and Alex,’ Gerard said, with a half evil smile on his face. ‘That’s what I’m thinking. They are the only two people who have hurt me in my life, and they are the only ones that I could think of that would dare to try to pull something,’ you said. ‘Well, if it is them, we’re ready for them,’ Gerard said and kissed your temple. The sun was already set, and there was a comfortable calm about, like everything was taking a rest before the major chaos. You and Gerard both felt it, ‘want to go to sleep. Tomorrow will be a long day,’ you said. ‘Yeah sure, I’ll be there in a few,’ he said and picked up his pack of cigarettes and went out to the balcony to smoke for a little bit. You went off and got ready for bed, Gerard joining you a little while later, while you were reading a chapter out of your text book, you had a test next week to study for anyways. You could hear loud music coming from above you, Courtney and Ivy. Slowly the music softened, most likely they got yelled at by someone to shut it off, which they did. Gerard came into the bedroom and got ready for bed. He crawled under the sheets and kissed you goodnight, you set your book down and he shut off the light as you snuggled into his arms, ‘good night,’ you whispered. He kissed you on top of the head, ‘good night sugar.’

Chapter 50[/u][/b]
The next couple of weeks flew by rather quickly. Frankie’s birthday was tomorrow which marked today as, All Hollow’s Eve. The night you and Gerard have both been dreading, the night everything that your nightmares have shone you, the night that would change your life for the better but horrible things have to happen. Tonight the whole group, including your cousins, Jesse and Sara, decided to go clubbing tonight and have a great time. Frankie was gonna go home tomorrow to celebrate his birthday with his family so tonight was like and early birthday party for him. You all agreed to go to a dance club called; Eternity. The nice part was, it wasn’t that far from the apartment so if anything were to happen or someone passes out from partying a bit too much, you weren’t that far to get them home. But you weren’t too worried about as something as small as someone getting drunk, you were more worried about something much bigger.
You and Gerard clung to each other the entire time at the club. After and hour or so of dancing you both sat down at the table, a waitress came by and asked if you wanted anything to drink. You and Gerard just got water, you saw Jeph at the other end of the table eyeing the waitress. She went over and asked him. You and Gerard watched for a few moments, the waitress gave another girl your order to get it. Her and Jeph went off somewhere to talk more. ‘Guess he found someone,’ you pointed out. ‘Yeah, looks like it,’ Gerard agreed. ‘I’ll be right back, I’m gonna go to the bathroom,’ you said. Gerard got up, ‘I’ll go with you!’ You stopped, ‘I haven’t seen any of the three people here, I think I’ll be fine.’ ‘But everyone is in costume, what if they are wearing a mask or something?’ You kissed him on the cheek, ‘I’ll be fine, wait outside the door if you must.’ He smiled and followed you and stood outside the door as you walked in.
You went in, no one was in there. Well there were a few, just a couple girls smoking pot, damn did it smell like shit too. You picked one of the unoccupied stalls and did your business. You walked out to wash your hands, one of the girls came up to you and stood there, just looking at you. ‘Um hi, can I help you with something,’ you asked her. She looked at you then a small twitch of a smile came across her face, ‘I think so,’ she said, she shoved a handkerchief over your face and you blacked out. After you being in the bathroom for 20 minutes Gerard started to worry. He looked back and forth in the hall, making sure no one was coming, he walked in and found the bathroom to be completely empty. He saw the fairly large window open with the fall breeze burst through. He turned around, ‘she’s gone.’ Corpseweb stood no more than 2 inches away form him. ‘No shit, I see she’s gone! Now where the fucking hell am I supposed to find her?’ ‘The one place she likes to go to, the last place you’d expect,’ he said. Gerard’s eyes got wide and ran from the bathroom. He ran out of the club and out to the street shouting your name over and over again. ‘No use yelling, she can’t hear you Gerard,’ a female voice said from behind him. He turned around and saw Stephanie. ‘Where the fuck is she bitch!’ She smirked, ‘how should I know?’ Gerard grabbed her by the arm, his grip tightening on her, he was holding himself back from killing her himself, ‘where is she,’ he said through his teeth. ‘She’s going to be joining the rest of her family, that’s where she is,’ she spit on him. He ignored the spit and ran off to find you before it was too late.
You woke up to find complete and total darkness in front of you. You couldn’t tell where you were, your hands were chained up above your head as well as your feet. Your mouth was gagged too. Screaming would do you no good. You could feel stabs of pain all over your body, which felt rather bare. Some one lit a candle in front of you, ‘hello Bree. Shall we finish what we started back in the spring?’ Jake came into your view, you tried squirming to get away, he just let out a low laugh. ‘Or should I take what you refused to give me,’ another voice said, Alex. ‘Oh, I’m sure her precious Gerard already had some fun with her,’ Stella stepped in. ‘How about we give her a choice, either Alex or Jake,’ you heard Stephanie’s voice answer. ‘Gerard is running around town like a madman, he’ll never find her here anyways, besides, she’ll probably be dead when he finds her,’ Stephanie laughed. You moved around trying to free yourself as they all discussed what they wanted to do to you. And the end result was going to be your death. Stephanie walked towards you, she looked insane with a lunatic smile across her face, knife in hand. Tears welled up in your eyes as she came closer, pleading inside not for her to touch you. You could tell your clothes were torn and soiled. Who was it that brought you here? You didn’t even recognize the girl who you last saw in the bathroom. You looked over at Stella, she was the one that brought you here, where ever here was. Stephanie held the knife up to your face and slid it so the flat side was to your cheek, she pulled down the cloth that was gagging your mouth. ‘We were best friends for 17 years, and you turn your back on me for a guy,’ you ask softly, mainly in terror. ‘I told him to cheat on you, I was jealous of you, you got everything you ever wanted. It was all planned out, everything went accordingly, then when you said you were leaving it was perfect. Then when you came back and asked me to help with the funeral and when you brought Gerard along, you still had a wonderful life, I could never be better than you Bree. You always were number one, while I was Bree’s side kick, the average one, the one who got second place next to you, no matter what,’ she sneered. ‘And now, that you’ll be gone, I move to number one, and no one will even know you’re gone,’ she finished. ‘You fucking bitch,’ you spit on her, since it was all you really could do. She slide the knife across your cheek, intense pain came as you felt the sticky red liquid run down the side of your face. You could hear banging on what sounded like a door. You could hear your name being called from the other side so you did all you could, yell, ‘GERARD!!!’ Stella kicked you in the side to shut you up.
‘Let the boy in, he can join her. Kill two birds with one stone,’ Alex muttered. Stella opened the door and Gerard fell in. You got a glimpse of where you were when the moonlight was let in. It was a mausoleum, a very gothic mausoleum. Spider webs hung in the corners, dirt covered the floor, the smell of death hung in the air. Moths flew around when the door opened. Gerard was thrown next to you. He looked at you in horror, you didn’t know what you looked like, and from the look on his face you didn’t want to know. You looked down at the ground and felt tears staining your face. Gerard put his arms around you protectively. ‘Do you fucking four think you can get away with this,’ he yelled at them. Alex and Jake looked at each other, ‘yes. After we’re done with the two of you, know one will even know you are gone and that it was us that killed you. So I suggest for you to be silent, it will be less painful that way and a lot quicker,’ Alex answered. ‘So shall we do this the easy way or the fun, slow, painful way,’ Jake asked, pulling out a gun from his back pocket. Alex pulled his out too, Stella and Stephanie stood back to the side with evil grins across their faces. Alex and Jake hand their hands ready and set on the trigger, all they had to do was press and you were both dead. Te only thing you could think of was what Corpseweb told you, silently say his name. You slightly mouthed his name with your eyes closed. You peeked open and looked over at Gerard, he did the same thing you did after you when he saw you slightly mouth Corpseweb’s name.
Your vision blurred because of the tears that were spilling from your eyes, you could slightly see him between Alex and Jake, fangs already protruding over he lower lip. He nodded at you and then grabbed Alex and Jake by the neck. Silently he plunged his fangs into Alex’s neck first, draining and killing him in a matter of seconds. He threw his limp dead body to the ground and glared at Jake. His lips stained with blood, Jake tried to kick and shove away but Corpseweb was much stronger than Jake and held him tight in his grasp. ‘You hurt her, so I hurt you,’ he whispered and cocked Jakes head to the left, giving him a full view of Jakes artery beneath his flesh. Corpseweb took his time to put his fangs into his neck, causing Jake extreme pain and agony. His blood curling screams caused the room to fall silent. Stephanie and Stella stood back in sheer horror, each going pale in the face and close to passing out. While Corpseweb was finishing off the last few drops of Jake, Gerard started getting you untied from the ropes that bound your hands and feet. He pulled you into his grasp afterwards, both of you crying. Bruises and cuts covered your body, Gerard had a couple of scrapes from his run through the cemetery, but nothing major. You foot was twisted in an odd direction, you weren’t sure if it was broken or not, you were hoping it wasn’t. Gerard helped you stand up, the door shut quickly as Stella and Stephanie tried to run for it. ‘Don’t think you two are leaving so quickly,’ Corpseweb threatened. They stopped dead in their tracks and looked at him with horror. He inched towards them, ‘originally I was only allowed to kill 1000 evil men, but I had a discussion with those above me and requested that if appropriate if I could kill women as well, and they granted that request. Now either I can kill you now and be done with it all and return to heaven with a clean soul or let you go and live your lives freely, as long as you never come in contact with Bree, Gerard or any of their friends or family forever, choose!’ Stella and Stephanie clung to each other, ‘we want to live,’ Stephanie stuttered in horror. Corpseweb flashed a fanged smile, ‘very well, LEAVE!’ They ran out of the mausoleum faster than you thought it was humanly possible.
Corpseweb turned to you and Gerard, ‘my work is done now. I can go to heaven, but I can grant a few things for the two of you. Which I’m sure you’ll appreciate.’ ‘Like what,’ you asked, wiping the tears away from your eyes. ‘Well, I can change things, so that Alex and Jake’s existence was never known, clear Stella and Stephanie’s memory of tonight. Heal both of yours and Gerard’s wounds, and last but not least, let you talk with your parents and brother one last time. I know you were cheated of the chance to say a final good bye to them so this is your chance Bree,’ he explained. You smiled, ‘really? I can talk to them one last time?’ He smiled and nodded, ‘you deserve it Bree. They all died before you could say a true good bye.’ You went over and hugged him in thanks, he hugged you back. ‘When will I get to see them,’ you asked. ‘When you wish,’ he answered. ‘Thank you.’ ‘Tis my pleasure.’
Corpseweb healed your wounds as well as the few on Gerard. He wiped the existence of Jake and Alex from the Earth, they were never alive, all records of them have disappeared. Stella and Stephanie’s memories have been erased as well. ‘When you wish to speak with your family, all you have to do is say their name 3 times and they will appear to you, they won’t be in spirit form, you will be able to touch them and hug them. You get 3 hours with them and that is it, use that time wisely and well, don’t let anyone but yourself and Gerard see them. This offer applies to you as well Gerard, any family member of yours that has passed that you wish to talk to one more time you may,’ he said. ‘Thanks,’ Gerard said. ‘Now go back to the club, you’re friends are there, time has been reversed to when you went to the restroom Bree. So none of this ever happened, do not discuss this with anyone, just between yourselves. You two are two amazing young people, you have a very big future ahead of both of you, and I leave you with my best wishes,’ he smiled. ‘I will always be watching over both of you. I must leave, my time is up on Earth. I have a family to go back to, but remember what I said, repeat the persons name 3 times and you will get 3 hours with them, keep them secret to keep them safe. Farewell,’ he said and disappeared into the darkness. You and Gerard looked at each other, ‘lets go back,’ you whispered. He kissed you fully on the lips before heading back to the club.

Chapter 51[/b][/u]
November came and went. Thanksgiving was spent back home at the Way’s house. It was comforting to go back to Belleville and seeing Mr. & Mrs. Way and Mikey again. Bert flew out to Utah to spend the break with his family and everyone else went their separate ways. Even over the short break you had a pile of homework which seemed to be stacked to the ceiling, calling your name. For the first time in a very long time, you felt at ease. Life could stop now and you’d be happy. Now that Alex, Jake, Stephanie, Stella, and even Alexia, who hasn’t shown her face around since you last saw her 6 months ago, were out of the picture for good. Life seemed perfect. A few times you and Gerard caught each other start to begin talking about one of those who now go unmentioned, before realizing that no one remembers them and all the trouble they caused. They basically never existed, all memory of them is gone from those who knew them that were close to you and Gerard. None of your friends remember them, if they do they usually can’t place a name to the person and just say, ‘you know that one friend of yours, I don’t remember her name but yeah…’ It’s over now.
In a sense I can stop here in the story. If I end here the story can stand all on its own and be great. No more needs to be added, the big event happened, what is there left to do? I know I can make this go much longer, or I can stop here and be content with it and call it over and done with. But since I’m not like the other author’s you may read who stop a story leaving you with wanting more, I shall continue the story. Now where was I? Ah yes, I remember now. How about we fast forward a bit….Spring Break sound nice? Sounds good to me!

Chapter 52[/u][/b]
April, Spring Break. It has finally come. You and the rest of the gang planned on a road trip to Florida. Stopping at various places along the east coast. there have been a few new additions to the group since the school year has began. Relationships have bloomed wonderfully, Quinn and Sara are now together. Thanks to a wonderful trip to the ice arena over Winter Break, where you and Gerard found them a few hours later cozy by the fire place that was in the entrance way of the ice arena. Jepha had also found him self a wonderful girl by the name of Jill. Do you remember the waitress that Jepha walked off with the night everything went down? That would be her, since that night they have been inseparable, never wanting to go any where with out the other. You and her clicked right away. She’s about 5’7”, she has black hair with red streaks, and has hazel eyes. She helped with a lot of the planning for the road trip. Thankfully college didn’t leave any of you completely broke. With the help of jobs you managed to be able to keep up with the rent, buy food, and have extra to spend which went towards the road trip. The nicer part was, the guys all managed to snag positions at a local grocery store and you and the rest of the girls got jobs scattered through out the mall. You and Molly found a job at Hot Topic, which was nice because you got discounts on all your favorite clothes and such. Jesse and Sara were coming along on the trip too. Jesse was bringing his 2 year girlfriend Summer along, and Sara was going because of Quinn. Branden’s girlfriend who he met a few months ago is coming along as well, her name is, Taylor but everyone calls her Kat. She has light brown hair, with a single turquoise streak in the front, hazel eyes and about the same height as yourself.
As soon as your teacher announced that class was over, everyone was cleaned up and out the door in two minutes flat. Everyone had what they planned to bring, packed and in the cars. The next two weeks were planned on driving down the coast line to Florida and back. You all agreed to gather last minute gadgets and leave son after. You wanted to be out of the state of New York by night fall. Jesse and Sara stayed at your place last night so you all could leave on time the next day, Summer arrived while you were in class. You all rushed back to the apartment building and were on the road within the hour. You ended up running ahead of schedule that what was originally planned. Most people from school were flying out to the Spring Break destinations which left the roads fairly clear, compared to what they could be. You arrived at your first stop, which was along the Jersey shore. Mikey and Vanessa were going to join up with all of you tomorrow, but won’t be going the whole trip with all of you since they only get a week off of school.
Since you arrived just in time for dinner, you all stopped at a diner that was on the coastal front. The only table they had available that was big enough to fit all 16 of you was outside. Since there was just a subtle breeze, you all agreed to sit out there. The sun was in the process of setting, the waves were crashing along the shore line. Beautiful. You all sat side by side of your significant others. A miniature food fight started thanks to Frankie and Branden. But when the waitress came over it stopped and didn’t continue but everyone still laughed afterwards. After dinner you all went out for ice cream at a small ice cream shop down the street. You got a triple scoop ice cream cone and Gerard got a double scoop. You and Gerard decided to walk along the shore line since the tide was going out. You took off your shoes and left them in the car so you could walk on the beach without dealing with all the sand in your shoes. You and Gerard would stop from time to time to look out into the horizon, he’d pull you close to him and you’d rest your head on his shoulder. ‘This is how life should be, peaceful and careless,’ you said. ‘And never away from the one that you love,’ he added. He kissed you softly on the lips for a few moments before you broke away from each other to continue your way down the beach. Once you both finished up your ice cream, you decided to run ahead, Gerard ran after you and caught you in his arms when he caught up to you. Causing you both to stumble and fall into the sand dune. You looked into each others eyes, your sparkling blue into his golden hazel. He rested his forehead onto yours and stayed like that for what felt like eternity. ‘Come on you tow love birds, lets go, we have to check into the motel,’ you heard Ray yell. Gerard kissed you softly on the lips before letting out a heavy sigh to get up. ‘He knows just how to ruin a perfect moment, doesn’t he,’ you sighed. ‘Yes he does,’ Gerard answered. You and Gerard walked back to the car hand in hand.
You all split off to your separate rooms, you shared a room with Molly and Bert. The four of you fell exhausted onto the beds. ‘You know with all that extra sugar in our systems you’d think we’d be hyper and shit, but fuck man, I never thought I’d be this tired,’ Bert said. ‘Me too.’ ‘Me three.’ ‘Me four.’ You all laughed and got ready for bed. Setting the alarms to wake up at a decent hour so you had time to pick up Mikey and Vanessa then head through Delaware, Maryland, and be in Virginia on time.

Chapter 53[/u][/b]
‘Mikey hurry up already, we need to leave, NOW,’ Gerard yelled up the stairs. ‘Hold on, I just have like 2 more things to pack and I’ll be down there,’ he yelled back. You and Vanessa waited in the family room for Mikey to finally come down so you could all leave. A few minutes later you could hear thumping coming down the stairs. ‘Finally,’ Gerard yelled and grabbed Mikey’s stuff and headed out to the car. Mrs. Way kissed and hugged each of you good bye and wishing you all a safe trip before leaving the house. ‘Where’s everyone else,’ Mikey asked in the car. ‘At lunch, which they are probably done with because you took forever,’ Gerard said annoyed. ‘Sorry,’ Mikey mumbled. Gerard stayed silent and kept his eyes on the road. He pulled into the parking lot and you all got out. The rest of the group was outside waiting. ‘Sorry guys, Mikey took forever,’ Gerard said and you walked up. ‘No problem, we’ll just get some ice cream or something while you guys all eat,’ Sara said. Gerard’s expression softened a bit. The four of you went inside to go buy lunch while everyone else filed in to get ice cream after you guys. Gerard didn’t say anything to Mikey through lunch, which struck you and Vanessa as odd considering even if they were fighting they’d at least talk a little bit to each other. You looked at Vanessa and she got knew what you were thinking. ‘You two need to talk, I’m not going to sit in a car for the next week with you two fighting. Vanessa and I will be right back, but when we come back, you two better be talking again,’ you said and got up, Vanessa followed you to the bathroom.
Gerard’s Point of View [/b]
‘Sorry for taking forever, I had a few things on my mind this morning so I didn’t realize the time until you got home,’ Mikey said to me. I sighed, ‘don’t worry about it. We are running a bit ahead of time anyways, I was just stressed because we wanted to make it to Virginia by dinner.’ ‘Oh, okay, I didn’t know,’ Mikey said softly. ‘Don’t worry about it. It doesn’t seem to be bothering anyone else,’ I shrugged off. There was an awkward silence for a few moments before Mikey said something, ‘Gerard?’ ‘Yeah.’ ‘Mom and Dad talked to me last night about something,’ he started. ‘What was it?’ ‘They didn’t know how to break it to you so they asked if I could tell you, and I know now is probably the worst time to tell you considering we are going on a vacation and stuff but I know I’ll have a fucking shitty time if I don’t tell you,’ he started. ‘Mikey, what the fuck is it?’ ‘Mom and Dad are getting a divorce,’ he said softly. I sat there in shock, a divorce? How could they get a divorce, sure they had their differences and shit but, a divorce? What the fuck has happened since I went away to college? ‘Why,’ the only thing I could think of saying. ‘They said things just aren’t working anymore. Dad is never home, all they usually do now if fight. Trust me it isn’t the most pleasant experience to hear. So they decided to call it quits.’ I sat there in silence, we both did. Neither of us knew what to say. ‘Thanks for telling me,’ I said softly. ‘Figured you would like to know sooner than later,’ Mikey answered. I nodded. I looked around and saw Bree and Ivy coming back.
Your Point of View[/b]
Vanessa and yourself walked back to the table. Gerard and Mikey seemed oddly quiet. ‘Did you two talk while we were gone,’ you asked. Gerard and Mikey looked at each other and nodded. ‘Good,’ you said. They still seemed rather quiet but you shrugged it off. ‘So shall we get going,’ Gerard said as you were all done eating lunch. ‘Sure,’ Vanessa said. You all got up and met up with everyone outside before heading to Virginia. The rest of the day was spent in the car, the windows rolled down, the stereo on, and cracking jokes and such. Mikey and Vanessa were in the back seat while you and Gerard were up front, Gerard driving. Every couple of hours you’d switch off, one would drive while the other would read the map. You ere never good with directions so after a while Mikey was given the map. You didn’t mind, less work for you to deal with. You could tell something was bothering Gerard but you weren’t sure what it was. ‘I’ll just ask him about it later when we get to Virginia,’ you told yourself. Hours later you arrived at Virginia beach. You all ate dinner at a local restaurant before checking into the motel on the beach. You were going to be staying Virginia all day tomorrow and leave the following morning for the Carolina’s.
The next morning you were all up fairly early. Even though you were all cranky and tired from the long day before. You gathered up your beach items and put on your swimsuit and went to the beach. Most people looked at your large group, considering there were now eighteen of you. Matt and Cori met up with you guys last night in Virginia. The rest of the day you spent on the beach. After lunch, Bert, Quinn, Jeph and Branden buried themselves in the sand, with the help of their girlfriends. The only part you could see of them, were their heads, everything else was tightly packed by sand. ‘Good thing you four already ate, because you won’t be able to come out of there for a while,’ Jill laughed. ‘What? You’re just going to leave us here,’ Jepha exclaimed. ‘Maybe,’ Kat said with a smile. ‘No fair,’ Branden whined. ‘Who wants to build a fucking massive sand castle,’ Ray yelled. Jill, Molly, Kat, and Sara all got up, accidentally kicking sand in the guys faces, each of them yelling profanities as they spit the sand out of their mouths. The girls laughed and headed over towards the rest of the group. Mikey was asleep under the umbrella so no one bothered to wake him up. You all started out by marking how big the sand castle would be, which actually turned out to be massive, almost making it to the shore line. Which was perfect, because you planned on building a moat around it.
After four hours of work you finally got it finished. The tide started to come in so you had to quickly build the moat so the water wouldn’t ruin the castle. As you scooped up the sand you just threw it behind you, you heard some words yelled towards you coming from Bert and the rest of the guys. You turned around and laughed as they glared at you. ‘Aww why the sour pus faces, jealous you couldn’t join in on the fun,’ you laughed. ‘No,’ Bert said and looked away. The tide started to come in a bit and the moat started to fill up. You all stood back and admired all of your hard work. ’Quick someone get a camera,’ Summer said. Jesse ran off and got his and snapped a picture of all of you behind hide the castle. He looked over and Bert and the guys stuck in the ground and smiled, then walked over in front of them. ‘Don’t think we forgot about you guys,’ he laughed. All four of them looked very unhappy in the picture which made it even more funny. The tide started to reach up to their heads. ‘Uh guys, someone wanna help us out before we drown,’ Quinn yelled, mainly for help. ‘Nah,’ you all said in unison. ‘The tide will go out in a little bit, you’ll be fine,’ Gerard said. ‘Gerard fucking Way! Get your ass over here and help me the fuck out of the ground,’ Bert yelled. Gerard walked over and just stood in front of him and laughed, ‘ nope. Have a nice evening.’ Gerard joined the rest of you, leaving the four of them there.

Chapter 54[/u][/b]
The next morning everyone was ready to go and head off for North Carolina. You all piled into the cars and headed out for breakfast first then continue your drive to North Carolina. You found a Waffle House on the way and you all stopped, practically filling the place to capacity because it was such a tiny location. You each ordered, everyone was pretty quiet. Bert yawned before taking a sip from his coffee. ‘What time did everyone get to sleep last night,’ Jill asked. Midnight, one in the morning, eleven thirty, the answers varied. You were one of the midnight bunch. See, last night you all agreed to leave, Bert, Quinn, Branden, and Jepha out on the beach, under the sand. So finally around 10:30 or so you all agreed to go and get them out. You ended up finding Quinn and Branden asleep. Bert was fending himself off the best he could from a seagull. Jepha was just there whistling. It took about an hour or so to get them out of the sand which caused you all to get to bed late. Everyone made it through breakfast even with minimal talking. No one complained though so that was a plus, the worst is when people complain how tired they are, it annoys the hell out of you.
You and Vanessa slept all the way to North Carolina, in the back seat while Mikey did his best to stay awake to give Gerard directions. Sadly it was raining when you arrived to North Carolina, so you decided to just stop there to eat and switch drivers then head to South Carolina instead. All of you stopped at a rest stop, the girls all running to the bathroom to clean up and do their business. ‘God damn it Ivy hurry the fuck up in there, I seriously gotta go,’ Summer said while slightly dancing around. You were in the middle of refreshing your face and reapplying your make up. Jill came out of a stall before Ivy and Summer quickly ran in. Sara and Molly were already outside waiting for you guys to finish up. Most of the guys were all huddled around the vending machines, while a couple, such as Bert, Gerard, and Ray were walking around looking at the brochures and stuff. The rest of you stumbled out of the bathroom and met up with everyone else. ‘Hey! I found a place we can go to! It’s not too far from here either,’ Gerard said, holding up a pamphlet. A couple people looked at him and asked, ‘where?’ ‘It’s a water park!’ You all looked around at each other, nodding your heads in agreement. ‘Sounds like fun,’ you said and you all headed out. Gerard pulled you back for a few minutes and had a sad face. ‘We haven’t gotten alone time at all so far on this trip. I miss you,’ he whispered. You kissed him on the cheek, ‘there’s a lazy river at the water park, right?’ He nodded. ‘Well then, you’ll get me all to yourself then, no interruptions.’ ‘Promise?’ ‘Promise,’ you assured. ‘No running off with the other girls to go on the water slides or anything,’ he asked. ‘As long as you don’t run off with the boys to go on the waterslide or anything,’ you said. He took your hand in his and kissed it, ‘deal.’ You smiled and went back to the car so you could get to the water park before the crowds started to get really bad.
Short while later you found yourself pool side. ‘Come on lets go in the lazy river,’ Gerard said. You looked around and everyone had gone off in their separate directions. You took Gerard’s hand and headed to the lazy river. He grabbed a double tube for the two of you. He helped you in before getting in himself. You sat in the front since you were lighter and he was in the back. ‘Seeee now you have me all to yourself Mr. Way,’ you said and leaned in towards him. Just as he leaned in to kiss you, you pulled yourself down underwater. He opened his eyes and looked around then looked down, you popped back up and spit waster at him. ‘HEY!’ You started into a giggle fit. ‘Not funny,’ he said as he wiped the water from his face, he went underwater and grabbed your leg, pulling you under. You gasped before being pulled down. You felt him pull you into his arms into a hug before coming back up for air. ‘Now look, we don’t have a raft anymore,’ you said. It floated down stream. He laughed, ‘so it appears.’ You wrapped your legs around his mid section. ‘Now how do you expect us to get around the river without one,’ you asked. ‘Hmm, well we can swim, or we can just not go around and get tucked back into one of the tiny little coves over there,’ he said motioning towards one. ‘Hmmm, I’m liking that little cove over there,’ you said with a wink and let him go and swam towards it. He followed you in and pulled you up to him when he caught you underwater. ‘So what shall we do,’ you whispered into his ear, making him shiver a little. You felt his warm breath on your neck when he answered, ‘so many things.’ He lightly trailed kisses down your neck and back up to your lips. Caressing his lisp with yours you felt his tongue linger along your bottom lip, requesting entrance which you teased at first before allowing him in. You felt him lean you on the wall behind you and his hands finding their way down to your hips. ‘Damn it’s been forever since we’ve gotten to do this,’ he said softly. You smiled, ‘it has. Enjoying it so far?’ ‘Better fucking believe it,’ you said with excitement. You rested your hands on his shoulders , tracing little circles along his upper arms and chest as you two continued your heated session. You felt water jets turn on, when you noticed Gerard’s hand rested on top of a button. It startled both of you at first, then you realized the little private coves were actually hot tubs. You could feel the water getting warmer as things grew hotter between the two of you. Soon you found yourselves being accompanied by Jepha and Jill. You didn’t realize each other were in here until a little bit later. Sara and Quinn soon joined too. Frankie came bursting in with Ivy in hand. ‘Wooo looks like it’s a make out party in here,’ he said with excitement. The couples broke away from each other. You and Gerard quietly made your way out of there and back to the lazy river. ‘Damn Frankie, ruins things every time,’ you heard Gerard mutter under his breath. ‘Now last time I believe it was Ray who ruined the moment, not Frankie,’ you said. ‘Still, whoever it is, the moment always gets ruined,’ Gerard cursed. ‘Aw don’t worry Gerbear there will be a time when we can keep each other all to ourselves, no interruptions.’ ‘I hope so. This whole starting then having to stop is getting annoying,’ he sighed. You kissed him on the lips assuring him, ‘don’t worry.’
Both of you headed back to the lounge chairs and reapplied sunscreen. Gerard mainly considering he was paler than yourself. He needed help with his back which you did for him. You started at the top with is shoulders, he seemed rather tense. ‘You alright babe, you see rather tense, something bothering you?’ ‘Yeah, but I’ll tell you later,’ he said. ‘Oh okay,’ you said softly. ‘Don’t worry it has nothing to do with us,’ he assured you, ‘I’d just rather not talk about it with a million people around.’ You pulled yourself close to him and rested your head on the back of his shoulder, not caring he smelled like sunscreen. ‘Alright, we can talk about it later,’ you said and kissed him on the shoulder. ‘Okay,’ he nodded. ‘Turn around, I have to do your back now,’ he said. You turned yourself around with your back to him. He started with your shoulders and worked his way down, he stopped towards the bottom. ‘When did you get that,’ he asked. You knew what he was referring to, your little treble clef tattoo with roses on each side of it. ‘Umm, Frankie took me to get that a month ago,’ you said, biting your bottom lip. ‘I don’t remember that,’ he said. ‘I didn’t tell you because you’re afraid of needles, and I knew you wouldn’t want to go,’ you said. ‘You still could have told me,’ he said. ‘I was going to let you find it yourself. Do you like it,’ you asked. He smiled, ‘love it.’ You felt his finger trace the outline of the treble clef, you giggled a little and his touch sent shivers up and down your back.
The rest of the day was spent by the pool and relaxing, going in the water when it got too hot to lay out any longer. You had the strongest stuff you could find, sunscreen wise. You never really were into the whole tan look. To you if was like frying the top layer on your skin, and you usually burned anyways so you needed the strongest stuff, as did Gerard. Around 8 or so all of you decided to get going and get back to the motel and have a late dinner. Tomorrow was going to be spent in Georgia at one of the beaches there. Then after that it was to your final destination, Orlando, Florida.
You went back to the motel which you had a room with just Gerard. Everyone was getting annoyed with one another and you all thought it would be best if you separated. Gerard fell down onto the bed and you laid down next to him. ‘So what was it you wanted to talk about?’ He sighed and sat up, you did too. You could see tears in his eyes, whatever it was, it wasn’t good news. ‘Gerard? What’s wrong, are you okay?’ He shook his head, ‘I’m fine, but my parents aren’t. They are getting a divorce,’ he said softly. You pulled him into a warm hug, ‘I’m so sorry Gerard.’ You felt a few warm tears on your shoulder, you knew he was crying. You held onto each other the rest of the night before going to bed.

Chapter 55[/u][/b]
‘Come on Jill, we’re almost there,’ Summer said in the bathroom. Summer was right actually, you were three quarters of the way through Georgia and running a bit behind schedule. The afternoon at the beach went a bit longer than planned. Thanks to Bert and Frankie. Bert and Frankie decided to have a little food fight during lunch which caused them to have to stay and clean up half the beach in punishment from the life guards. After an hour or so of waiting for them, you all considered just leaving them there and making them walk to Florida. But you didn’t make them do that. You all just waited it out. ‘Geez calm down Summer, don’t get your panties in a bunch, I’m done, happy,’ Jill snapped as she came out of the bathroom. Summer nodded with a smile across her face as she went into the bathroom. ‘Damn your girlfriend is such a prissy prick,’ Jill said towards Jesse. ‘You’re telling me. Try waiting for her to get ready to go somewhere,’ he said. Jill laughed, ‘I don’t think I want to.’ ‘Exactly,’ Jesse said.
Six hours later you found yourself in Orlando Florida. Final destination. You were going to be spending 4 days there, mainly going to the Disney World parks. First day, Magic Kingdom. Second day, Epcot. Third day, MGM Studios. Then the last day was only going to be half a day at Downtown Disney, shopping. Since today was your first day, you all checked into the hotel you were staying at and left your stuff in the room. Rushing back out of the hotel to catch the bus to Magic Kingdom. You hadn’t been to Disney World since your Dad died which was about 9 years ago. You were surprised by how different it looked than when you were last here, it got so much bigger. Some things were the same, some things updated, new rides were added, and the old ones stayed in place. You each got a walky talkie incase you ventured away from each other through out the park. You and Gerard went off with Branden and Kat. You got in line for Thunder Mountain. You remember last going on this ride with your Dad. It was the last ride you had ever been on with him. A small tear shed from your eye that you quickly wiped away before anyone noticed. Gerard kissed you on the cheek, ‘you still have your chance to talk to him.’ ‘I know, I will when we go home this summer,’ you said softly. Kat and Branden were wrapped up in their own conversation so they didn’t realize what you two were talking about. You haven’t used your time yet to see your family, remember, the chance to get to spend time with them for 3 hours with each of them one last time. The line moved rather quickly and you and Gerard got into a car and Branden and Kat sat behind you.
‘How did you know I was thinking about them,’ you asked Gerard, as you got a lemon icy. ‘I can see it in your eyes,’ he said. You smiled. ‘I’m going to guess you haven’t been here without them before, have you,’ he asked putting his arm around your waist. ‘No, I haven’t,’ you took a spoonful of the icy and ate it. Gerard grabbed the spoon after you put it back and had some for himself. ‘Hey, that’s mine,’ you said. Gerard stuck his tongue out with the icy all over it, ‘you still want it now.’ You scrunched up your face, ‘Noooooo!’ He laughed and swallowed, ‘didn’t think so.’ Everyone went on all the rides they wanted to go on before going back to the hotel for the night. You and Gerard stayed up and watched TV for a little bit before turning in.
Second day, Epcot. You were looking forward to this day, they always had the cool firework display at night. And you loved trying all the food from the different countries, especially Italy. Hard for you to resist all the great food from there. As you did at the park yesterday you split off but this time Courtney, Ray, Mikey and Vanessa joined you and Gerard. First stop, Japan. You and Gerard played with all the fun toys they had there and so did the others. You continued on through out the park, enjoying each of the cultures and all the stuff each of them had to offer. For lunch you all agreed to meet in Italy for none other than, pizza. The waiters and waitresses were slightly shocked how big of a group you were at first. After lunch Gerard pulled the two of you away from the group. ‘Come on, lets go on the gondola ride,’ he said, taking your hand. You followed him towards the ride. There wasn’t really anyone in line which was nice. You guessed not many people liked going on this ride. But whatever, you and Gerard were still going on it. Gerard was acting a bit strangely ever since this morning when the others joined you while walking around the park. You went along with the ride, Gerard almost tipping the gondola a couple of times and the man steering cursing at him from time to time to sit still or he was going to make him swim back. Gerard sat there with an innocent grin across his face. That evening you watched the fireworks and Gerard told you he had a surprise for you. Half way through the firework show he led you over to France. ‘Gerard, why are we in France,’ you asked with a raised eyebrow. ‘Well, France is supposed to be romantic right? And well, I haven’t done anything for you that’s romantic in a while, so I figured we could have a nice dinner without everyone else and enjoy ourselves,’ he said with a smile, pulling you close to him. ‘I like the way you plan things out,’ you said. He smiled and kissed you lightly on the lips before leading you to the restaurant. Some how you managed to figure out what everything was and found something that you actually liked on the menu. You looked around the restaurant and noticed that Sara and Quinn were on one side of the restaurant and Jesse and Summer were at the other end. ‘Popular place,’ you thought. After dinner you and Gerard went down to a little café that had ice cream and little deserts and stuff. You walked around France as you enjoyed the evening, most people were leaving now so the path ways were fairly empty. Most left after the fireworks. ‘Hey guys, you there,’ you could hear Frankie’s voice, but couldn’t tell where it was coming from. You and Gerard looked around and then down at your walky talkies. ‘Hey guys,’ he said again. Gerard answered it, ‘yeah Frankie, what do you want?’ ‘The rest of us are leaving, so we figured you’d like to know so you don’t like freak out or something,’ he said. ‘Oh alright, thanks for telling us,’ Gerard answered. ‘No problem, over and out,’ Frankie laughed. Gerard turned it off and put it away. ‘So is there anything left you want to see, or would you rather head back with everyone else?’ you thought for a moment, ‘lets head back, we have MGM tomorrow and I wanna have energy for Rock ‘n Roll Roller coaster and Tower of Terror.’ ‘Back to the hotel it is m’lady,’ he said and linked arms with you.
When you got back to your hotel room, you and Gerard had some fun with a heated make out session. Your way of saying thank you for the evening and fancy dinner. Every time you tried to break away form one another the other would pull the other back in to keep going. ‘you know, we’re never going to get to sleep if we keep going,’ Gerard said. ‘You’re complaining,’ you said surprised. Gerard sat silent for a moment, ‘no I’m not.’ ‘Sure sounded like you were,’ you said. He smiled and kissed you again, tickling you in the process. Causing you to laugh and fall off the bed. ‘Ow,’ you said still laughing. Gerard looked over the edge of the bed, ‘you alright?’ You calmed down, ‘haha, yeah.’ He helped you back up and you both gave things a rest and went to bed for the night.

Chapter 56[/u][/b]
‘Welcome to MGM Studios,’ the sign read as you walked into the park. First ride, Tower of Terror. You wanted to go on that first because, you might not have the guts to go on it later, so the sooner you got on it the better. Maximum capacity for the ride was 20 people, so you all will just barely made it on with your 18. Waiting in line, Bert had some fun telling the ghost stories. ‘You know I had a friend once that came here and took pictures down in the lobby and there were a whole bunch of orbs and white shadows that looked like people,’ he said, in a matter of fact tone. ‘Is that so Mr. McCracken, and what do you believe those orbs and figures to be,’ Jeph asked. ‘Ghosts,’ Bert said, sounding like he was some Einstein genius. ‘Oh ghosts you say,’ Jepha said, playing along with the charade. You and Gerard stood there, slightly amused by their conversation, catching attention from the other people in line. ‘Aw Jill, look we have ghost experts here,’ Molly said, poking Bert in the side. Most of the pathway was dark with random lights shinning to light up the walk way, trying to give it a spooky effect. Gerard stood close to your side, wrapping his arm around your waist. Your gaze wandered, you felt your palms get sweaty, which seemed odd because you weren’t scared. There wasn’t anything to be scared about. Was there?
You looked around and about 20 feet away you could see something. A person? But the odd part was, they weren’t standing, if it really was an actual person. They were hanging from the ceiling. You got Gerard’s attention, ‘do you see anything odd over there?’ He squinted his eyes and then they got really big. ‘Um, maybe we should ask one of the guys who like, you know work here. Maybe it’s a prop or something,’ he said quickly. You grabbed the attention of one of the guys that worked for the ride. He came over with a smile and asked if there was anything wrong. ‘Is there props set up around here, like over there,’ you asked, pointing in the direction of what you thought you saw. ‘No we don’t, the only props we use are on the ride itself,’ he said. ‘Then what is that over there,’ you asked. The man took out his flash light and went in the direction you were pointing. He quickly ran back and went up to one of the other workers and started talking on his radio. He stood at the front of the line, ‘I’m sorry everyone but we must shut down the ride, if you can all please turn around and exit the ride we would highly appreciate it. We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience.’ People looked around and were giving questioning looks, so people were yelling profanities demanding why they couldn’t go on the ride. You and Gerard stayed quiet, since you knew why you had to get off. You lost each other in the masses of people and did your best to find each other. You found Frankie and Ray rather easily. ‘Thank god Ray for your hair, otherwise we’d never find you,’ you joked when you found them ‘Ha ha, very funny,’ he said. You smiled. ‘So what the fuck was up with that, we were like the next ones to get on,’ Frankie asked, pissed off. ‘Um, not sure. The ride probably had some dysfunctions or something,’ Gerard said. Bert ran over quickly, ‘hey did you guys here!?’ ‘What?’ ‘A guy was dead hanging from the ceiling, apparently he was some worker here. They think it was either suicide or murder,’ Bert said excitedly. ‘And you wanna know how they found the body,’ Bert said. ‘How,’ Ray asked. Bert pointed at you and Gerard, ‘they saw it.’ You and Gerard looked around, avoiding everyone’s eyes. ‘I thought you said you didn’t know why we got out of line,’ Ray said. ‘Oh um, sorry,’ Gerard said. A little while later the park was closed. Private investigators were everywhere to figure things out.
‘How wonderful, no matter where we go, something bad happens,’ Mikey said annoyed. ‘Not everywhere,’ Vanessa said. ‘Well Mikey usually when we go somewhere, you are usually the cause of something bad happening, like that one time when we went to North Carolina for a week a couple summers ago when you stuck a fork in the light socket at the hotel,’ Gerard said. ‘Shut up, I was curious, I didn’t think plastic could conduct electricity,’ he retaliated. ‘Sure Mikey, sure,’ Gerard said. ‘Alright, whatever guys, lets just go,’ Ivy said, causing them to stop fighting. As you left the park the sky darkened, and released it’s water droplets. You and Gerard looked at each other and smile. ‘My little rain drop,’ Gerard whispered into your ear. A rain drop fell on the tip of your nose and he wiped it away. The rain got heavier and heavier as you guys walked to the transportation buses back to the hotels. ‘Come on guys,’ Frankie yelled. Gerard waved him off as you and him stood in the rain. ‘Fine, we’re leaving with out you,’ Frankie yelled before the bus doors closed on his head and drove away. ‘How much you want to bet that was the last bus to the hotel,’ you said. ‘Probably a very good chance that it was,’ he said. ‘Shall we walk then,’ you said. He grabbed your arm, ‘we shall.’ On the way back to the hotel you jumped in puddles and avoided the on coming cars in the streets. ‘When was the last time we got to do this,’ you laughed as you splashed in a puddle. ‘Ummm, last summer. The summer after graduation, but lets just not have a repeat of last time’ he said, poking you in the side.
Flash back[/b]
‘Look Gerard it’s raining, lets go outside, please,’ you begged him. A large grin came across his face, ‘alright alright.’ ‘YAY,’ you squealed and ran outside. He ran out after you. Mikey stood on the porch and looked at the two of you like you were crazy. ‘Now who’s the crazy one Gerard,’ he yelled. Gerard flicked him off and you spun around in the street, catching the rain drops in your mouth. ‘If all the rain drops were lollie pops and gum drops oh what a day it would be,’ you sang like a little kid in kindergarten. Gerard laughed and grabbed one of your hands and spun you towards him and into his arm. ‘Oh what a day it would be,’ he whispered. You slow danced in the middle of the street, ignoring the rain, everything around you felt like it came to a halt. You two got lost in each others eyes. Savoring the moment like it was your last. ‘Don’t ever leave me,’ you said and laid your head on his chest. ‘I won’t, I promise,’ he said and kissed you on the forehead. You looked up at him and began to run back inside the house. But on your run back you hit the curb and ended up falling oddly, twisting your ankle. Well you hoped that you just twisted it. Mikey ran out to you as did Gerard. ‘Owwww,’ you moaned as you grabbed your ankle. ‘Is it broken,’ Mikey asked. ‘I hope not,’ you said, bursting into tears. Gerard picked you up bridal style and brought you inside and laid you down on the couch. ‘Stay put, I’m going to change really quick and then take you to the hospital to get it checked,’ Gerard said before running upstairs and changing quickly. ’Where the fuck does he think I’m going to go,’ you said to Mikey. He shrugged. He ran back down with a towel for you, since it would be hard for you to change into new clothes. Gerard helped you stand up and guide you out to the car. The rain had slowed down but it was still lightly raining. You laid down in the back seat while Gerard drove and Mikey stayed up in the front. ‘We’re here,’ Mikey said and jumped out of the car and opened up the door for you. Gerard and Mikey supported you up getting into the hospital. A couple hours later, you came out with crutches and split. ‘Well, at least it isn’t broken,’ you said, slightly laughing. ‘True but it’s a number 3 sprain,’ Gerard said. ‘Remind me next time we decide to run around in the rain, to not run anywhere, especially around curbs,’ you said. ‘ Will do,’ Gerard said. You walked outside and the rain had ceased, in the sky was a large fully arched rainbow. ‘That’s cool,’ Mikey said pointing at it. You nodded, ‘yeah it is.’ Gerard kissed you on the cheek, ‘more like beautiful to me.’
You let out and uneasy laugh, ‘yeah we don’t want a repeat of that. But I did gain some pretty bad arm muscle using those crutches for over a month.’ You gave him a slight shove. ‘No shit. Frankie was scared when he saw you shove Mikey across the living room because he took your iPod and used up all the battery in it.’ ‘That boy cannot be trusted with anything electrical. Who knows he probably would have wanted to see if it was water proof or something like that,’ you said. You returned back to your room, soaking wet, not a single inch of you was dry. ‘You know, I like the wet look on you,’ Gerard teased when he noticed you were in a white tank top, that you could now see through. You walked right into the bathroom, ‘too bad you won’t get to see me like this for long.’ Gerard grumbled and stepped out onto the porch to have a smoke while you showered and cleaned up. It rained for the rest of the day and most of the night. Which kept you inside the hotel room. You grew bored of crossword puzzles, eye spy, and little kid games after a couple of hours. You were thankful when night came because you could just go to sleep and get to tomorrow. Mikey and Vanessa were going back home tomorrow on a night flight after you all hang out at Downtown Disney for the day. If it rained you didn’t really care, mainly because you’ll be inside shopping. Some how you knew this was going to be a crazy day tomorrow.

Chapter 57[/u][/b]
‘Frankie put it back,’ Ivy giggled. Frankie found one of those toys where you pull the trigger and the mouth opens and bites down when you let go of the trigger. ‘But it likes to eat your hair, it tastes sooo good,’ Frankie teased. ‘That’s flattering and all but I’d like to keep my hair,’ Ivy pulled her hair away from him and walked off in the other direction. He stood there and looked around for someone else to torment, he spotted Mikey looking and some key chains and quietly crept up on him to scare the crap out of him. You were looking at the jewelry, while Gerard, Ray, and Bert went to go look at the crazy hats. Branden and Jepha were fooling around by the pens, coloring on each other and giving each other fake tattoos. Everyone wandered about the stores. The employees had to ask a couple of the guys to behave or they’d be kicked out.
After causing enough destruction in one store you all headed outside, spotting the water fountains that shot out of the ground. Frankie and Bert ran towards them, and stood in the middle. They stood there waiting for something to happen. ‘What the fuck! Did they shut them off,’ Frankie cursed. Just as he said it, one fountain shot up behind him, soaking him. Bert burst out laughing and appointed at him. Frankie scrunched up his face. Another fountain shot up right from under Bert, causing him to stumble backwards. ‘Aw little Berty fell on his butt,’ Quinn teased. The rest of the guys walked out by Frankie. That’s when the show really started. The fountains started going off all around them, soaking them all as they attempted to dodge the fountains. You walked a bit closer, debating whether to be brave and join in with them. A pale arm reached out and pulled you in. You grasped onto the owner of the arm, which ended up pulling you to their chest. The other girls joined in. You could hear their laughing screams as they initially got wet.
Gerard pulled you close to him and allowed you two to slow dance in the water fountains. Pulling close to each other, avoiding the water as much as possible. The laughter and screams slowly faded out, you weren’t sure if it was because the others left or because your focus was on Gerard, and Gerard alone. Gerard kissed you before you had to part again to avoid getting shot at by another fountain. You started to spin and around and jump from fountain to fountain. Gerard grabbed you from behind, ‘we don’t want a repeat of last time.’ You shook your head back and forth, your soaking wet hair slapping Gerard across the face. ‘We’re leaving, come on guys,’ you heard Jesse yell in your direction. ‘We’re coming,’ Gerard said, keeping his eyes locked with yours.
You all headed back to the hotel to shower up and pack up your belongings. It was time to start heading back home. Mikey and Vanessa were flying out tonight since they had to go back to school the day after tomorrow, which Mikey kept whining about. You and Gerard packed all your stuff in a suitcase and threw your wet clothes into a spare bag and left out a set of clothes for tomorrow, and another set for tonight. You and Gerard were bringing Mikey and Vanessa to the air port in a little while.
You sat at the terminal, watching the planes take off. Last time you were on a plane was before your Dad died. And it was from this very air port that your last plane ride was from with him there. You and Gerard went with Mikey and Vanessa to make sure they got on the plane safely. You heard Mikey and Vanessa’s rows get called, pulling your gaze away from the window, you got up and gave each of them a last hug before they boarded. Vanessa first then Mikey. ‘Take care of him. He may not be showing it but the divorce is tearing him apart inside,’ Mikey whispered as he hugged you. ‘Don’t worry I will,’ you answered him, he smiled and followed Vanessa onto the plane. You went back to where you were sitting, looking out the window at the night sky. Gerard soon occupied the seat next to you and looked out the window too. You both watched as their plane took off for New Jersey, home. You watched until you could no longer see the lights on the plane in the night sky. Gerard got up first, ‘guess we should go. We’ve got a long drive tomorrow.’ You nodded, got up and walked out to the car with him.
You turned on the radio, attempting to find a decent radio station. You finally settled on one that had an old love song playing. ‘That was their wedding song,’ Gerard said, more so to himself than to you. You put a hand on his shoulder and gave it a light squeeze, telling him you were there for him. You turned the radio off and finished out the ride back to the hotel for the night. Gerrad didn’t come to bed until a little while after you. He was in the bathroom for an oddly long amount of time which worried you. He came back out to find the room pitch black, he stumbled his way back into bed and pulled you close to him like a teddy bear.

Chapter 58[/u][/b]
The next day was just a full day of driving. Gerard didn’t talk all that much, pretty much giving you one word answers when you’d ask him something. You knew it was the fact that his parents were getting a divorce that was worrying him, but it felt that he was also pushing you away. You watched the lines pass by on the road beneath you with the window rolled down. ‘Gerard, I’m hungry. Are we going to be stopping soon for lunch,’ you asked him, when you were almost half way through Georgia. ‘Yeah, soon. Call up the other cars and ask them if they are hungry too,’ he suggested. You picked up the cell phone that was in the cup holder and dialed each of the numbers, getting positive responses from each. ‘They all agreed that the next rest stop would be the next meal stop,’ you said and put the phone back down. He just nodded silently.
‘Frankie quit throwing fries,’ Summer whined as she dodged a flying fry towards her head. Frankie just giggled. Summer sat there with a pissed off face for the rest of lunch. Jesse just rolled his eyes before letting out a sigh. Summer hasn’t been the easiest person to get along with this whole trip. All she did was complain and complain. You had a particular hatred for her because for one, she treats your cousins like shit and you’ve caught her flirting with Gerard a few times. Plus the fact that she called you a slut to your face doesn’t help her much either. You honestly think the only reason Jesse is still with her right now is because he’s stuck with her all the way back home. You were hoping that he will be dumping her soon after you get back home. She is the last person you want to see at Holiday parties in the future.
After lunch everyone got back in their cars and headed off for the next rest stop at a motel not too far from where you were already actually. That night was calm, nothing over the top. Just a quiet evening in the room, watching T.V., well attempting to find a channel you actually knew. You finally came across MTV and settled on that. Gerard joined you in bed and you furled up next to him, laying your head on his chest. You felt his running his fingers through his hair. Perfect time to finally ask him what’s wrong. ‘Gerard,’ you said softly. He looked down at you, ‘yeah.’ ‘Are you doing okay? I mean, you’ve been really quiet all day you just haven’t been yourself,’ you said, biting your bottom lip. You felt his chest rise when he took in a deep breath and released it. ‘Yes and no,’ he finally answered. ‘Is it your parents divorce,’ you asked, trying to get him to talk to you, which wasn’t working out so well. He gave a slight nod. ‘Aw babe, don’t worry, it might be for the best for them, you never know,’ you said softly. ‘How could you say it’s for the best? We were a happy family, granted yeah my Dad wasn’t home all the time but for the most part it was really nice coming home knowing that both my parents would be there and -,’ he stopped when he realized what he said. You got up and walked out onto the balcony, slamming the door behind you.
You slouched down in the chair that was out there. You put your face in your hands, allowing a few tears to escape. It hurt like a thousand stabs to the heart when he said that, knowing both[/I his parents would be there. You didn’t have that for the last 9 years of your life. You heard a tap on the glass, you knew it was him but you kept your gaze out into the night sky. You didn’t want to talk to him right now. He came out anyways, he quietly stepped out and stood there, waiting for you to at least look at him, which you never did. ‘It must be nice knowing both your parents would be there, safe and together when you’d get home from school,’ you snapped. ‘Bree, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean for it to sound like that, it’s just hard for me,’ he said. ‘Like it wasn’t hard for me,’ you asked with an attitude. ‘No, I know it was hard for you, both times. I’m sorry, I didn’t think before I spoke,’ he said. ‘You didn’t think,’ you said more so to yourself than to him. He took a few steps towards you and hugged you, even in the awkward position you were in. ‘Sugar lets go to bed and forget about this,’ he suggested. ‘You go, I’ll come to bed in a little while,’ you said. He nodded and went back inside. You watched his black shadow go inside and go to bed. Turning the light off everything around you appeared to become darker than it was moments ago.
The thought of seeing your family again, the chance you were granted came to mind. But you weren’t sure if you wanted it to be now. You wanted them to be there when something special was going to happen, like college graduation, or your wedding day, or when you were having a baby, something like that. You stayed outside for another half hour just thinking. You eventually went back inside and crawled into bed next to Gerard. You laid there facing towards him, the moon light shinning into the room. The moon light casted a glow over the room, you admired Gerard’s features as he slept. His silky black hair, his pale soft skin, his cute nose, and perfect lips. You loved every part of him and wouldn’t change any of it. You tucked a stray piece of his hair that was falling over his face and brushed it back with your fingers. He slightly stirred in his sleep but never fully awakened. You smiled and fell asleep too. Tomorrow was going to be another long driving day, and you were expecting to make it all the way to Virginia tomorrow, only stopping in the Carolina’s for rest stops, gas, and food.

Chapter 59[/u][/b]
It rained all the way through the Carolina’s. Which scared you, fearing of skidding into a car accident on the highway. You had so much more left to do in your life and you didn’t want to end it so soon like you Mom and brother’s did. You and Gerard didn’t talk much. Gerard turned the radio on, but kept it soft, just so there wasn’t stale air in the car. He still was feeling bad for what he said to you last night. He wished could have reworded it and not make it sound so cruel towards you. He was aggravated and upset and had been keeping it all bottled up inside him. When Mikey was there he was able to talk to him about the divorce. Mikey was the only one that knew what Gerard was really feeling inside. Gerard actually started cutting, surprised you never questioned his long trips to the bathroom. He knew if you found out it would break your heart. He hadn’t cut since his depression, almost two years ago, before he met you. He would wear wrist bands to keep his wrists covered up from you seeing the cuts.
You kept your gaze on the rain outside your window. You could hear the soft music playing from the car radio, the rain hitting the window and the wind shield wipers swishing back and forth across the window. You were looking forward to going home, you wanted to sleep in your own bed again. You were starting to get homesick and just wanted to be where you felt safe. Yours and Gerard’s birthdays were coming up and you still had to figure out what the hell to get him. He had pretty much every Iron Maiden poster that was ever made, and every t-shirt too. You decided to go thrift shopping when you got home, maybe you could find some old Iron Maiden albums, the ones that were ‘Imports Only’ and almost near to impossible to find. But you thought of a few places that might have them and made a mental note to call those record shops when you got home. You glanced over at Gerard, he had his eyes focused on the road. ‘You getting tired yet,’ you asked. ‘A little,’ he said, ‘but I think I can last another hour or so.’ You nodded, ‘alright, when you get tired pull over and we’ll switch.’ He nodded and kept driving. You pulled out a word find puzzle book from your bag along with a highlighter. Another thing to help pass the time on the road. You found most of the words rather quickly. But you still couldn’t find one last word, ‘razorblade.’ You searched all over the puzzle but couldn’t find it. You thought maybe it never got put in and was just a typo in the word list. But on the cover it said 20 words in every puzzle, and you recounted the words and with ‘razorblade’ it was 20 words. You closed it up and gave up, even though it was in the back of your mind annoying you, that one word, that evil word. The word that still haunts your dreams from time to time.
That day replayed in your mind. That whole night and waking up in the hospital the next morning. You remembered it all, and that it was your brother who found you. You missed him, he was supposed to be living a great life. Going to college, meeting the woman of his dreams, becoming a football player like he always dreamed. It wasn’t fair! He was taken away too soon, all of them were. The picture of your Mom came to mind too. Remembering all the soccer games she’d pick you up from when you were actually involved in sports and such. Her sitting in the crowd cheering you on as you made your first soccer goal, her bright smile and loud clapping and cheering. Your little 7 year old body so happy to see her there with your Dad sitting right next to her. Tears started forming in your eyes when memories of your Dad came to mind. Sitting by the front door everyday waiting for him to walk through the door, coming home from work. You’d sit there watching out the window, and wait for his car to pull into the driveway. You remember smiling and running to him when he’d walk through the door. When you were small enough he’d pick you up and lift you in the air and spin you around saying, ‘how’s my little Bumble Bree doing?’ You remember laughing when he’d call you that. You later remembered finding out that your Dad was sick and wasn’t going to be around for much longer. You were only eight at the time when you found out, so you didn’t quite understand at the time. All you knew was that he wasn’t going to be walking through the front door anymore, coming home from work and lifting you up into the air and spinning you around like he used to. Flashes of the funeral came through your mind. Being only nine you finally grasped the fact that he wasn’t coming home anymore. He wasn’t going to be there to scare the monsters out of your closet, come to your soccer games anymore to cheer you on when you made a goal, or to hear his voice call you Bumble Bree. He was gone and he wasn’t coming back.
You looked out the window and could see your reflection in the glass, you were crying, the salty tears running down your face. The painful memories hurt so much, you wish none of it ever even happened. You wished things could go back to the way they were. But you knew it wasn’t possible, you had to hold onto what you had now. The family and friends you have now, including Gerard. You weren’t sure where you’d be if he hadn’t come into your life. You’d most likely be orphaned or in a rehab center, you were sure if he wasn’t there, you’d start cutting and attempt suicide again. You hadn’t cut since that one time you came crying to Gerard, apologizing for doing it and promising him you’d never do it again. And you’ve kept that promise to the very day. You wondered though, how was he dealing with his feelings about his parents divorce, he wasn’t talking to you, or really to anyone, so how was he dealing with it. You were praying he wasn’t doing anything to hurt himself. He promised you that if he ever felt the need to do something like that he’d come to you and talk.
Gerard pulled over and looked at you. ‘I need to sleep, you don’t mind do you?’ You shook your head, ‘no.’ He nodded and got out of the car. Running around to your side, opening it up so you could quickly get out and get into the drivers seat. After 20 minutes Gerard was asleep and you were focusing on the road. You started to get deep in your memories again, asking yourself questions. You didn’t even realize the on coming truck that was somehow right in your lane, or were you in its lane. You weren’t sure but you didn’t react until you saw the truck lights shine brightly in your eyes and the loud horn coming from it. You did your best to swerve out of it’s way. The last thing you remember seeing was looking over at Gerard who had woken up and starring at the on coming truck wide eyed and then at you, who was trying to swerve back into the right lane. Everything went black when you felt a large shove and heard a loud smashing of metal.

Chapter 60[/u][/b]
You looked around, everything was white and fuzzy. Where were you? You tried calling out, but your voice seemed to be on mute. You looked down at yourself, you were standing and in a white long robe. ‘Where the heck am I,’ you thought to yourself. You looked up and saw a face you hadn’t seen in what felt like forever. Corpseweb. He looked at you with a warm smile. ‘Hello Bree,’ he said. He waved his hand in the air and you opened your mouth to speak, and you were thankful to hear sound come out. ‘Where, where am I,’ you asked. ‘You’re in what they like to call up above, Limbo,’ he answered. ‘Why am I here,’ you asked. ‘Don’t you remember?’ ‘Remember what,’ you asked confused. ‘You were in a car accident. Currently your body is in a hospital bed, but your spirit is here. They are still waiting for you to come to,’ he explained. You gasped and put a hand over your mouth. ‘What about Gerard, isn’t he here,’ you asked quickly. He nodded, ‘yes he is. He’s in a bit better condition than you but is still here.’ ‘Is it possible that I might,’ you couldn’t say the last word. ‘Die? It is possible, but I know you Bree and they won’t let you in above. You have a life to fulfill and they won’t let you in until you do just that,’ he assured you. ‘Where would I go if I do die,’ scared to even ask that question. ‘They’d let you in up above, but send you back as a fallen and do what I had to do, minus the killing 1000 evil men part,’ he laughed the last part. ‘Oh,’ you said softly.
‘But, I’m afraid to tell you that I will not be able to watch over you as much, so I’m granting you an angel. A guardian angel, one that can keep an eye out for trouble down there on Earth with you,’ he said. You looked at him confused. ‘Her name is Chelsea, she will be taking my place. Don’t worry dear, I will still be around making sure everything runs smoothly, she will just be down there to keep a better watch out for trouble than I can,’ he said. A woman appeared next to Corpseweb. ‘Ah Chelsea, how wonderful, perfect timing,’ he said with a smile, giving the woman a hug. She looked to be about your age, she had shoulder length brown hair with two chunks of blond in the front, bright crystal blue eyes and a bit shorter than yourself. She approached you with a smile and hugged you. ‘Hello Bree, I’ve been told so much about you,’ she said. You didn’t know what else to do but smile and give a small, ‘hi.’ ‘I don’t mean to be rude or anything, but can I see Gerard,’ you asked. ‘Oh yes, he’s been asking about you as well, come with me, I will take you to him,’ Chelsea said. Unlike you she was dressed in a royal blue robe, from what you could tell she was a petite woman. She seemed nice. She led you to what looked like a solid door. She turned the knob and led you inside. You saw Gerard sitting on a couch, with a very confused face as he looked around. He got up quickly when he saw you walk in. ‘Bree!’ You smiled, he ran and hugged you. ‘I’ll leave you two alone. I’ll be back in a little bit to bring you back down to Earth,’ Chelsea excused herself and left you and Gerard alone.
‘Where are we? They keep calling this place Limbo,’ he asked quickly. ‘Exactly, Limbo. We’re just spirits Gerard, our bodies are in the hospital, trying to survive. We got in a car accident, all thanks to me and my neglecting to watch the road. Instead I got wrapped up in my memories of my family, I’m sorry Gerard. I swear I never wanted this to happen, the last thing I ever wanted to do was hurt you, and now look it, we’re both in the hospital and our spirits are on the verge of going into Heaven if we aren’t strong enough to live,’ you said, tears streaming down your face. Gerard pulled you into a hug, your tears staining his white robe, which was identical to yours. ‘It’s okay sugar, I know you didn’t mean for this to happen. But see, we’re still together, even in Limbo,’ he said trying to bring a smile to your face. ‘I know, but we shouldn’t be here in the first place. We should be back home in New York by now getting ready for the new semester of classes, not here,’ you said looking around. Gerard cupped your face in his hands, ‘we’re going to be alright. We’re going to make it through this and we are going to come out alive, I love you Bree and I will never leave you, I promised remember?’ You nodded and sniffled, ‘I love you too Gerard. I don’t know what I’d do with out you.’ You embraced each other in your arms before Chelsea came back in, you separated and she led you to what looked like another door. She whispered something to Gerard, he had a guilty look on his face and nodded. Chelsea opened the door and told you to jump, telling you that you’d wake up when you returned back to your bodies. You and Gerard held hands and jumped, you closed your eyes, squeezing onto Gerard’s hand and you could feel him grip rightly onto yours as well.
You woke up and opened your eyes, gasping for air. You heard someone jump up from where ever they were sitting. ‘Nurse! Doctor! Anyone! She’s awake,’ you heard a male voice yell. You looked around and could hear beeping from monitors, a sharp pain in both of your arms from I.V.’s. You knew where you were, the hospital. Oh how you hated the hospital, it was your worst nightmare ever to be back in one. Nothing good came out of hospital trips, ever! A nurse and doctor came rushing in and standing at your bed side, looking at you with amazement. ‘How is this possible, she was a few hours away form dying,’ the doctor said. The nurse smiled, ‘a miracle,’ she said simply. ‘Well I guess now that you’re up, you can attempt to eat something and we could take you off the respirator,’ the doctor said. He took the mask that was on your face and the nurse took the tube that was in your nose. That thing was annoying and very uncomfortable. They left for a few minutes. You looked around and saw Bert, Quinn, Molly, Sara, Jill, Jepha, Branden, Kat, and Jesse, all sitting on a few chairs. You gave them a weak smile, ‘how long have I been here?’ ‘Over a week,’ Jill said quietly. You were pleased to see Summer wasn’t in the room. You knew she was either in Gerard’s room or you were hoping even more that Jesse dumped her and she went home.
‘How bad do I look,’ you asked. You could feel some pain coming from almost everywhere on your body. ‘Trust me babe, you don’t want to know,’ Jesse said. You slowly nodded. ‘Where’s Gerard,’ you asked. ‘A few rooms down, he’s not as bad as you, but he hasn’t woken up yet,’ Bert said. This worried you, he jumped at the same time as you, why hasn’t he woken up yet? ‘Can I see him,’ you asked. The nurse came in, ‘once we get the wheel chair, we’ll try to get you out of bed so you can see him.’ You were thankful for that. You knew some nurses could be bitches and not let you even have visitors, you remember your Dad had one of those one time when he had a dizzy spell from his treatment and had to be taken into the hospital. You’ve hated that woman ever since, even though you haven’t seen her since. The nurse came back with a wheelchair for you and helped you out of bed and into the wheelchair. You got a glimpse at your legs which were severely bruised and you noticed the cast on your right arm and the fact that you couldn’t move your neck either due to a neck brace. Oh what have you gotten yourself into? Jesse agreed to wheel you down to the Gerard’s room while you held onto your I.V. stand as you rolled down the hall. Jesse knocked on the door and someone opened it and Jesse rolled you to Gerard’s bed side. ‘Bree, you’re awake,’ you heard Ivy say cheerfully. You winced when she hugged you. You gasped and groaned a little from the pain, she quickly let go of you, apologizing over and over. Mrs. & Mr. Way were both in the room, you looked at them sadly and looked back at Gerard. You took his hand in yours, stroking your thumb over his hand. You whispered, ‘come on Gerard. I know you’re in there, I made it, you promised me we’d make it through this together.’ A few small tears rolled down your cheeks. You felt his hand squeeze yours. You looked up at his face, his eyes were slowly opening. A small smile formed on his face, ‘you’re right I did promise.’ A large smile and a flood of happy tears rolled down your face when he said that.
‘Mr. Gerard Way can leave in a couple days,’ the doctor told his parents, ‘but I’m afraid Miss. Bree Harmony is going to have to stay a bit longer.’ ‘Why? Can’t we at least transfer her to another hospital near us, we live in New Jersey, we can’t keep her here in Virginia,’ Mrs. Way asked. ‘Surely there must be a way to bring her back home,’ Mr. Way added. Everyone was hugging you and Gerard, relieved and very happy to see you both alive and breathing again. Once visiting hours were over you requested to be transferred to Gerard’s room. Somehow the nurses were really nice and agreed to it. You weren’t sure if this was Gerard’s doing or not but you were thankful for it. In the middle of the night neither of you could sleep. ‘Bree,’ he asked, seeing if you were awake. ‘Yeah,’ you answered. ‘There’s something I need to tell you, and if I don’t Chelsea threatened she’d kick my ass if I didn’t tell you,’ he confessed. ‘What is it,’ you asked, worried. ‘I broke one of my promises to you,’ he said. ‘Which promise,’ you asked. ‘The one where I’d come and talk to you if I was feeling depressed and shit,’ he said. ‘What did you do instead,’ you asked, hoping it wasn’t anything too bad. ‘I cut,’ he said softly. ‘Gerard,’ you whispered. ‘I’m so sorry Bree. I wasn’t thinking, I swear, it won’t ever happen again,’ he said quickly. ‘Gerard,’ you said again. ‘Yeah.’ ‘I love you.’ ‘I love you too sugar.’ ‘G’night,’ you said and shut the light off that was on your side of the room. ‘G’night sugar.’
Then the room was dark and you both fell asleep.
